HOSTETLER ORPHANAGE
There was a keen observation done by sister Grace as she spends much time with the children throughout each school day. During the lunch hour she observed some children not going home to have lunch or they did not bring a pack lunch to eat. On inquiry, she came to know their mothers had not prepared anything for them and they would go hungry till late in the night. This broke sister Grace’s heart and from that day on she shares her lunch pack with these children. She has prayed many times with tears that our Lord would send someone who would extend a helping hand to feed these children who often go hungry. The children go without one square meal a day. The Lord heard and answered her prayers. Sister Carol Ball, through brother Court Wood, Director of In Jesus Name Ministries came forward with help for these children. A blessed day it was when the Kainrad Orphanage was opened. A little cooking department is attached in one of the rooms of the school. Since the opening of the orphanage, around 15 orphan children and other poor children joyfully enjoy a cooked meal, praise the Lord! |
Many orphans who are in Kainrads Educational society had been without proper homes and parents. Seeing their condition we put this matter in prayer to provide a shelter over their heads and to raise them in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Miraculously, on Jan. 30th 2001, the director of In Jesus Name Ministry, brother Court Wood came to Kainrads School in Satellite City along with brother Marvin and sister Marla and spent three hours with the children. They were greatly elated to see and hear the action songs and Bible memory verses by the children who were growing in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. When brother Court went back to America, he shared these moments with his sister Carol Ball and her husband Arthur. They graciously came forward with a financial gift to sponsor a polio student and his two brothers and sister. When they saw the way he was creeping and crawling on the ground they felt pity on the boy and bought him a tri wheeler cycle so he would not have to crawl on the ground. Through sister Carol and brother Arthur’s monthly gift, 15 students were provided food and shelter. We are grateful for all the support received from our dear friends, Carol and Arthur. |

In January, 2003 Brother David Kainrad and Sister Gunnhild, when they visited the Satellite City they were greatly moved by the orphan children. Prior to returning to America, sister Gunnhild took full bio-data on each orphan. When she returned to America she shared with her colleagues at Cape Coral Hospital the need for sponsors for the orphans. She placed posters with pictures of the children on the walls of the hospital and by God’s grace and through answered prayers, 21 sponsors came forward to assist in caring for the orphans. May God be given all the glory and praise for this miracle. A special thank you to all sponsors and supporters of the orphan children.
The cost of providing boarding, lodging and clothes for each orphan child for is only $25 for month. There are more children in need of care and we would appreciate your prayerful consideration of this need.
It is the ministry’s innermost desire that all the children would get something to munch at lunch hour since most of the children are underfed. Malnutrition is a serious problem in our country and especially in our situation with the poorest of the poor children. At lunch break it is noticeable that their food is nothing but a little boiled rice with salt and water. On a special day they may have a little vegetable curry. That is all they eat. I pray some |
