OUR MISSION: |
|
|
To understand the Kainrads Educational Society projects at Satellite City, it is important you know something about the village. Satellite City has nothing to do with satellites or a city boundary. It is a bogus name given to repatriate individuals who have been evicted from the encroachments of the highways, railway stations bus stations, market places and other public places in Rajahmundry, East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh. The government prepared a plant to resettle these encroachers who are mostly people of a vagabond nature. The majority of them are beggars, coolie workers are field labors. They are of the poorest of class of people.
The site allotted for them measures just 20 ft. / 35 ft. On these lots, the government has constructed thatched sheds covering the roof with palm leaves. There are hundreds of hamlets occupying: four colonies (A, B, C and D) within "Satellite City."

KAINRAD'S EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY, henceforth referred to as KES, began in rented facilities on June 9, 2000 for orphans and students in Satellite City, a rural area of Rajahmundry. The school, an English medium free Pre-School and Primary School, opened with three teachers and 75 students in grades K-3. In 2002 KES expanded to 375 students in grades K-5 with five full time teachers. In 2003 a 50,000 square foot school was constructed on property purchased by the Kainrad Family from America. Today KES has 550 students in grades K-10 with sixteen full time teachers.
MISSION: KES purpose is to introduce students to the creative work of God the Father, the redeeming work of Jesus Christ His Son and the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit while teaching them appreciation for themselves, their fellow man and God's creation. Students will be challenged to achieve academic excellence through self-discipline, self-control and hard work so they may be able to take their places in India Society as responsible individuals bearing God's image. |
